What is CREW 456?

Creating Radically Equipped Warriors

OUR CREATION

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17

OUR RADICAL EQUIPMENT

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head. – Isaiah 59:17

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. – Ephesians 6:13-18
OUR BATTLE

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” – II Corinthians 10:4-6

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. – Ephesians 6:10-12

Prepare for the Battles of life.

Verse to Remember
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. – Ephesians 6:10

Water Baptism

Who can be baptized?
Anyone who has repented of their sin and placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Baptism is not what saves, but the sacrifice and grace of Christ.
What does the word baptism mean?
Baptism is from the Greek word baptisma, or baptizo, the verb. It means “to plunge under, dip completely under, or immerse in water.”
The History of Baptism (Matthew 3:13-16)
Jesus is our example for baptism.
Why be baptized?

  • In baptism, we follow the example of Jesus. Jesus was baptized even though he had never sinned.

  • The Bible commands believers to be baptized. – Acts 2:38 Repent = to change your mind about sin; to turn away from sin and turn to God.
What Does Baptism Show?
As we go under the water and come up, we act out the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Baptism is also a visual picture of what has happened to us. We have died to our old way of thinking and living and are raised to walk in a new way of life, a Christian life.

Repent and be Baptized.
Verse to Remember
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” – Luke 16:10
Question to think about
Have I truly accepted Jesus as my personal savior? Have I turned away from my sin? Should I be baptized?
